Workshop times:

  • Tuesday 16 December, 10:30am to 12pm (sold out)

  • Tuesday 16 December, 1:30pm to 3pm (sold out)

This workshop is for home educated children aged 5+ and their families.

Join us to celebrate the Christmas season at Pontefract Castle with Tudor-inspired festive crafts!

We will:

  • discover some of the traditions that people who lived in Tudor times would have followed at Christmas

  • model tasty sugar mice treats

  • create sweetly-scented spice bags

  • fashion festive paper crowns

  • make fun Tudor-style toys

Please note: In this workshop you will come into contact with food stuffs, including sugar paste and various spices. If you have any concerns about food allergies, please contact us before booking to discuss.

This session is delivered in partnership with the Community and Family Learning Team at Wakefield Council’s Adult Education Service.
