Commercial site hire

Pontefract Castle has a busy year-round events programme. However, we are always happy to hear from other businesses looking for a unique venue! We are open to new ideas, events and experiences that introduce Pontefract Castle to your customers.

We've hosted festivals, outdoor yoga and open-air theatre performances. What will you bring to the castle next?

The site can be hired for a part day, or a whole day, until 10pm. It can include the use of our stretch tent (usually pitched from spring to early autumn each year).

Private events and functions

You can hire our stretch tent by the hour for private events. The stretch tent is usually on site from spring to early autumn each year. Perfect for all-weather parties!

The hire includes exclusive use of the tent. You would need to arrange your own furniture and decorations as required.

Additionally, you may wish to hire the whole castle grounds. These are available from public closing times to 10pm.
