Self-led group visits

Prefer to do things your own way? We welcome organised self-led group visits to our sites.

Self-led visits to all of our sites are free. We just ask that you let us know in advance if your group is larger than six people.

To help keep our sites an enjoyable place for everyone, please note the following:

For groups of more than six, please contact us in advance. This means we can check that your chosen site is able to accommodate you. We can also provide more information and resources to help you get the most out of your visit. Email us at museums@wakefield.gov.uk or call on 01924 302700.
Some of our sites have spaces which can only permit a limited number of people at a time. There may be areas out of reach due to scheduled maintenance or exhibition installations. Contacting us in advance of your group visit will ensure that our staff are expecting you. Working together, we can ensure your group gets the most out of your visit.
