A World of Good: Waterton’s warnings on the environment

Most suited to: Wakefield Museum or at your venue

Disappearing bird species. Freak weather. Badger culls. Illegal hunting. Dangerous levels of air pollution. Any one of these could be a news headline from today. But they are topics discussed in letters written by local conservationist, Charles Waterton, over 150 years ago.

This talk explores Waterton’s environmental campaigning and its relevance today. Waterton hoped his letters would do “a world of good.”

Today, we must all come together to Do a World of Good ourselves, before it is too late.

Combine your talk with a visit to the immersive A World of Good gallery at Wakefield Museum.
