Roman Castleford

Castleford was founded by an invading Roman army in the chaos of a civil war. A powerful queen was pitted against her embittered ex-husband.

'Lagentium' began as the embodiment of Roman military power. It went on to become an important manufacturing centre and communications hub. Castleford's ancient residents enjoyed the luxuries of empire.
