Wakefield Museums and Castles

Families and Babies Wakefield is a local charity. They support new parents with breastfeeding. 

They work with families before and after birth. They provide one-to-one support and a 24-hour helpline.

They use these knitted boobs to teach women about breastfeeding, without needing to touch the woman's body. They are hand-made by volunteers. 

Wakefield Museums and Castles is part of the BaBi Wakefield project. We are working with families to record and share their experiences of having a baby in Wakefield today.
