Cosmetics bottle mould, Rockware, Knottingley, 1970s to 1980s

a wooden mould with a deep imprint of a perfume bottle design and 'Dew Kiss, Avon' carved in the side

This mould was used by Rockware Glass in Knottingley to make a perfume bottle for Avon cosmetics.

Molten glass was poured into the mould. It was pressed using a plunger to form the two halves of the bottle.

The mould is marked with the customer's name and the design number.
